One “Hell” Of A Power Ballad, Now On RBN!
by Chris on Aug.11, 2011, under Artist News, Top News

It’s a bit of a slow week in the Rock Band Network community, with only two new songs released on Xbox 360. But our offering this week is a doozy, for certain!
Rochester’s Fallen Angel have been steadily bringing out tracks over the past few months from their incredible debut concept album, Crawling Out of Hell. Today sees the release of their latest song, and it’s a dramatic tonal shift; an epic, seven-minute-long power ballad entitled “Ashes to Ashes / Leaving It All Behind“. Feeling almost like four songs in one, this track will take you on a journey from start to finish, with incredible harmonizing vocals and melodic guitar riffs. Drummers are in for a treat, as well; while it’s not a particularly fast song, it’s one of the more technically challenging tracks in recent offerings, and you’ll definitely want to give it a go. You can check it out now on the Rock Band Network store for 160 MSP.
A preview video and this week’s PS3 releases can be found after the jump.

SEETHER BRINGING HIT “COUNTRY SONG” TO ROCK BAND NETWORK
Wind-Up Records Partners with RockGamer Studios to Launch New #1 iTunes Rock Single as a Playable Rock Band Network Track
NEW YORK CITY, New York, April 7th, 2011 – Today, RockGamer Studios is proud to announce that in partnership with leading independent label, Wind-Up Records, they are bringing fan-favorite alternative hard rockers Seether back to the Rock Band Network, with the release of their brand-new hit single, “Country Song”.
Taken from the band’s forthcoming fourth full-length album, Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray, “Country Song” sees the band embracing their choice of recording location. With the new album being recorded in Nashville, “Country Song” has a bluesy, plucked guitar riff operating as the verses’ motif, before kicking into the high-energy, full-power sing-along choruses. The song has already been receiving great radio airplay, reaching the Top Ten on Billboard’s Rock Charts, as well as being the number one rock single in the US on the iTunes Music Store.
Produced by acclaimed producer Brendan O’Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), the album is set to be released on May 17th, 2011 via Wind-Up Records. Established in 1997, Wind-Up Records is the world’s largest independent label and home to acts such as Evanescence, Finger Eleven, Bayside, Creed, and Hawthorne Heights.
The forthcoming Rock Band Network release of “Country Song”, set to be available from the first week of May, will join previous Seether tracks “Fake It”, “Remedy”, and “Rise Above This” as being purchasable and playable in Rock Band 3, and available for download via the Rock Band Network Store on Xbox 360.

CHIPTUNE HEROES ANAMANAGUCHI COMING TO THE ROCK BAND NETWORK WITH “AIRBRUSHED”
These past 12 months have been extremely busy for New York-based four-piece Anamanaguchi. After playing to crowds all across the United States at the PAX East and PAX Prime conventions, and coming hot off the heels of the release of their debut full-length album, “Dawn Metropolis“, the chiptune punk band that self-effacingly describes their style as “making loud, fast music with a hacked NES from 1985″ was recently thrust into the limelight after being tapped to score the soundtrack for the video game adaptation of the hugely popular Scott Pilgrim vs. the World series of comics.
RockGamer Studios’ work featured on “Gossip Girl”!
by Chris on Sep.14, 2010, under Top News
Every now and again, we walk into work to find a really nice, unexpected surprise. Today was one of those days, when we discovered first thing that a little bit of our RBN charting handiwork was featured prominently in a network television show! Not just any show, either, but the breakout CW Network hit “Gossip Girl”. Check this clip out:
The song being featured in this clip is “I Know What I Am“ by Band of Skulls, one of our earliest releases on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Great timing too, as this song was just recently re-released as part of the initial offering of RBN content on Nintendo Wii. You don’t have to wait until Rock Band 3 comes out to be like the ladies of Gossip Girl; you can download this song right now!
