One "Hell" Of A Power Ballad, Now On RBN!
by Chris on Aug.11, 2011, under Top News

It’s a bit of a slow week in the Rock Band Network community, with only two new songs released on Xbox 360. But our offering this week is a doozy, for certain!
Rochester’s Fallen Angel have been steadily bringing out tracks over the past few months from their incredible debut concept album, Crawling Out of Hell. Today sees the release of their latest song, and it’s a dramatic tonal shift; an epic, seven-minute-long power ballad entitled “Ashes to Ashes / Leaving It All Behind“. Feeling almost like four songs in one, this track will take you on a journey from start to finish, with incredible harmonizing vocals and melodic guitar riffs. Drummers are in for a treat, as well; while it’s not a particularly fast song, it’s one of the more technically challenging tracks in recent offerings, and you’ll definitely want to give it a go.
You can check it out now on the Rock Band Network store for 160 MSP.

With the upcoming approach of the new RBN 2.0 system (featuring harmonies and keys), we’re getting more and more of our backlog of releases out there before the 1.0 pipeline shuts down. This week, we have had twelve new songs released, including a pair from the CI Records stable with metalcore acts With Life in
Mind and Where the Ocean Meets the Sky, the return of quirky alternative space-rock fan-favorites Kiev, and only the second tune to have a full band rating of devil-heads on each instrument, Majestic’s “Voodoo Treasure”! While pickings are slim for PS3 owners this week, you do get another backfill of classic Amberian Dawn, so be sure to check that out as well!
