Dance-punk hits RBN with Fake Shark-Real Zombie!
by Chris on Sep.25, 2009, under Artist News, Top News
Another brand new artist announcement for you! We here at RockGamer Studios are proud to bring the eclectic, genre-defying stylings of Canadian foursome Fake Shark-Real Zombie! to Rock Band Network later this year! They will be joining the RBN lineup with four songs taken from their recently released “Angel Lust” EP; the title track “Angel Lust”, “Horses In Heaven”, “Running For The Razors”, and “Sestril Levante”. These four tracks will also be available on their soon-to-be-released second full-length album, “Meeting People Is Terrible” (which is currently available to all the lucky folks living in Japan).
Since forming in late 2005, the band (named after a pivotal scene in the gory Lucio Fulci classic, “Zombi II”) has been terrorizing Western Canadian audiences with their unique blend of screamo vocals, spooky ska, off-kilter metal, gang vocals, and whatever else is necessary to achieve their galvanizing, electrifying ends. Having opened for such noteworthy acts as Mindless Self Indulgence, The Klaxons, and Hot Hot Heat, and with a new album produced by Dave “Rave” Ogilvie (of Skinny Puppy fame, and who has worked with artists such as Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Queensryche, and Marilyn Manson), FSRZ! are set to take the world by storm. The RockGamer Studios crew couldn’t be happier to present their “Angel Lust” EP in its entirety to an audience of rhythm gamers worldwide. With a sound that’s been compared to everyone from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane’s Addiction to The Mars Volta and System Of A Down, these four tracks are sure to make a splash.
