Buy 1, Get 1 Free Limited Time Offer
by Miguel on Jan.08, 2010, under Site News, Top News
The RockGamer Studios team is so excited for the impending launch of the Rock Band Network, that we’re pulling all the stops to get *everyone* in on the action.
From now until January 31st, every time you order a track for authoring at our standard rate of $500 per track minute (rounded to the nearest minute), we will author a track of equal or lesser value for free. Yes, FREE! No gimmicks… we keep no royalties, so all proceeds from Microsoft go directly to you. You can order as many tracks as you want, and get every other track free.
If you’ve been thinking of hiring a top tier, Harmonix-recommended authoring service, now is the time to act. RockGamer Studios has over half a dozen tracks that have gone through the entire playtest/peer review process, and have been approved for sale the day the Rock Band Network store launches. That’s at least TWICE AS MANY as any other author or group in the Rock Band Network beta. We work hard to see every project through to completion, and hold ourselves to the highest of standards.
Our rates have never been any lower. We are launching this promotion because we want you, (the artist, label or distributor) to get in early on what could become the evolution of the music industry.
To begin the process, visit our Submit a Track page. If you have any questions, you can reach us via e-mail at staff@rockgamerstudios.com.
Buy 1, Get 1 Free – Deal Terms:
- You must have a signed contract and all submission materials delivered before January 31, 2010.
- Free track must be of equal or lesser length than the qualifying paid track.
– 50% of all authoring fees for each paid track will be due at contract signing, with the remaining 50% due once the project is ready for Rock Band Network peer review.
Xbox 360 giveaway for our Twitter followers
by Miguel on Oct.11, 2009, under Site News, Top News
Remember way back when we told you we’d give away our Xbox 360 with 60GB hard drive, perfect for all those RBN songs you’re about to buy, once we reached 1,000 followers? Thanks to all of you, we hit our mark, and we’re ready to send her to a good home.
HOWEVER…
We don’t quite feel like giving away our Xbox to Spamanda679vhx (as much as it’s going to break her little spambot heart), so that pretty much rules out a random drawing from our followers.
We also don’t want to do a challenging trivia question, since we want to give everyone an equal chance to win.
So, here’s how we’re going to do it… please follow the rules to make sure you don’t get disqualified:
* Between now and 12PM EST on Friday, October 16, tweet the name of your favorite band that you’d like to see on Rock Band.
* Include a link to the band’s official website or MySpace.
* Hashtag your tweet #RGS360
* Only one entry per user will be considered… so spamming #RGS360 WILL NOT increase your chances of winning
* You must be following @RG_Studios in order to win
* A random winner will be chosen from all qualified entrants at 1PM EST on Friday, October 16.
Example: I would love to see Amberian Dawn on Rock Band http://www.amberiandawn.com/ #RGS360
Simple, huh? OK kids, have at it, and good luck!
RockGamer Studios in the Costa Rican press!
by Richie on Aug.14, 2009, under Blog, Site News
Here’s our first mention in a press article, from Costa Rican news site Vuelta En U. It mentions our involvement in authoring Gandhi’s “Arigato”. Unfortunately for our non-spanish-speaking readers, the article is… in spanish. But seeing as we are super cool, we have translated a few choice bits for you:
GANDHI WILL BE IN ROCK BAND by Víctor Fernández G.
“That feeling of ‘How cool would it be to play like Gandhi’ is not so out of reach anymore… virtually speaking.
Today we found out that this quartet will soon be part of Rock Band, the popular video game in which players can form a virtual rock group and perform well-known songs, scoring points depending on their skills.
Hit single ‘Arigato’ is the band’s song chosen for Rock Band, and according to their guitarist Federico Miranda on his website, it would be ready by the end of this year to be included in the Rock Band Network.
Gandhi’s inclusion into the popular franchise was propelled by an old acquaintance of the band: Costa Rican guitarist, composer, engineer and author Richie Nieto, who now resides in Canada. Nieto is part of RockGamer Studios, a New York-based company chosen and trained by Harmonix (Rock Band’s creators) to author songs into the game’s format. According to Nieto, Gandhi is the first band they are working with, and ‘Arigato’ will be their first contribution to the Rock Band Network, which will allow independent authors, musicians and labels to expand the catalogue of songs to be available for the game.”
Sweet, eh? I’m personally very excited that we’re starting to pull the Latin Rock community into Rock Band. There is a wealth of talent and material there, so keep tuned… lots of more great stuff to come!
