Sure, you may have never heard of Nautiluz unless you’re a fan of Peruvian metal. But then again, many gamers had never heard the word “DragonForce” until we hit the end credits of a certain game involving guitars and heroes.

If you are a fan of ridiculously fast power metal, then you are in for a VERY pleasant surprise with Nautiluz. The newly formed group from Lima, consisting of Jorge Segersbol (vocals), Diego Chacaliaza/Alonso Rodríguez (sharing lead guitar duties), Alvaro Paredes (drums), Renzo Huánuco (keys), and Diego Shiguemura (bass) wasted no time after their formation in November ’09, and promptly recorded their first original single, “Chasing the Light.”

Their debut opus is so mind-blowing and perfect for the hardcore Rock Band player that we felt compelled to break format. Our preview video contains four snippets from various sections of the track. One continuous clip just wasn’t enough to show you the hellish challenge that awaits you once the finished track is unleashed to the masses.

The group jumped at the opportunity RBN provides for international artists to gain recognition outside their country. They contacted RockGamer Studios to help them spread the gospel of Metal through the Rock Band Network.

Here’s a short message from the gang, introducing themselves to all their new fans around the world:

Hello everyone! This is Nautiluz from Perú and we want to say we’re so very grateful with RockGamer Studios for giving a hand to the new bands like us! It’s indeed such a great opportunity to let the world know we’re here and also to hear about many other talented bands around the globe!!! We’re currently recording a full length album which we hope you like!! We’ll tease you up with this mind blowing preview from our song “Chasing the Light.” Enjoy!

They’re excited. We’re excited? Are YOU excited? Please help us welcome Nautiluz to the Rock Band Network. If they keep putting out material like this, I get the feeling we’ll be hearing about them for a long time to come.
