CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS AND ROCKGAMER STUDIOS TEAM UP TO BRING FIREWIND’S LATEST SINGLE TO THE ROCK BAND NETWORK, ALONG WITH SMASH HIT “HEAD UP HIGH”
What started out as a demo tape by Gus G. has turned into one of the most dynamic, technically superb metal acts in recent history.
The name Gus G. may be familiar to you, as he is the guitar virtuoso currently in Ozzy Osbourne’s lineup. However, every member of Greek outfit Firewind is a seasoned veteran of the metal scene. With technical guitar work, epic vocal harmonies and heavy bass riffs, they are an explosively melodic group who has earned deserved acclaim.
Among many accolades, Firewind also earned a spot in Metal Hammer’s “200 Greatest Songs of All Time” with two songs: “Head up High” (coming soon to RBN) and “The Fire and the Fury”.
Firewind has toured tirelessly along with incredibly popular bands like Scorpion, Dragonforce, All That Remains and Kamelot. The group performed at the 2007 Prog Power Festival in Atlanta, the 2008 Download Festival in the UK, and were also featured on Metal Hammer UK’s Tribute CD to Judas Priest.
With six full length albums to date, Firewind’s most recent release, DAYS OF DEFIANCE, is set to drop in Europe on October 25th and will be available in North America October 26th, so mark those dates on your calendars, metal fans!
RockGamer Studios is set to bring Firewind’s latest single “World on Fire” to the Rock Band Network, courtesy of the fine folks at Century Media Records. With melodic, explosive breakdowns and face-melting guitar solos with double kicks galore and scathing synth lines, this track has everything you are looking for in an amazing RBN pick. “World on Fire” is in RBN Peer Review as of publishing, pending the community’s approval for release, and should be available in the very near future.
RBN fans need more Firewind now, right? We hear you! “Head Up High” is currently in peer review as well.
Can’t get enough metal on RBN? Good news, there’s plenty more coming to you straight from Century Media. Stay tuned to RockGamer Studios for more details coming soon.
