Hello out there, Internet! Chris here. All of us at RockGamer Studios are extremely excited to bring you the following news. We have partnered with long-running and fiercely independent Pennsylvania-based label CI Records, and will be bringing their artists to the Rock Band Network!
CI Records was formed 1989 in Lancaster, PA by Jeremy Weiss, and started mainly as an outlet to release vinyl from his band at the time. Over the past twenty years, they have amassed an impressive catalogue of releases from artists as diverse as August Burns Red, The Juliana Theory, Onelinedrawing, The Pink Spiders, and Sense Field. We are very proud to be helping them represent the label on the Rock Band Network! The first downloadable offerings from CI Records and RockGamer Studios will include two tracks each from three of their current artists from their hometown; Circus Circus, Sadaharu, and Texas In July.
Lancaster-based band Circus Circus formed in early 2006, and have kept up a relentless pace. They self-released their first EP, “Hut Hut Hike”, in 2007, and received featured artist status on Purevolume.com. They’ve been steadily touring and performing alongside such notable like-minded acts as Chiodos, Gym Class Heroes, Every Time I Die, The Bled, The Devil Wears Prada, Fall of Troy, and August Burns Red. Their full-length debut, “Brooklyn Nightlife”, was released to critical acclaim in July of 2008, and has been winning over listeners for its heady mix of post-hardcore, math rock, and pop-punk. We will be bringing the cuts “First We Feast, Then We Felony” and “India” from their full-length as downloadable content for RBN.
Since 2000, Sadaharu has been mixing up post-hardcore with old school rock ‘n’ roll riffs and getting a little bit of jazz in their punk rock. Their 2003 debut album, “Anthem For New Sonic Warfare”, was met with near-universal critical praise and comparisons to bands such as Drive Like Jehu, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, and Refused. Their 2005 follow-up, “The Politics Of Dancing”, placed them firmly onto the Alternative Press “100 Bands You Need To Know” list. Their third and most recent album, 2007′s “Resist. Revolt. Reclaim.”, has been described as “pure punk rebellion”, “creative, exhilarating [...] and relevant from start to finish”, and “one of the 10 best records of 2007″. Get ready to experience them for yourself when we bring “It’s Not Paranoia If They’re Shooting Live Bullets” and “Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot” to RBN later this year.
Texas In July are the relative young’uns of the bunch, sporting members still in their teens, but don’t let their age fool you. Their powerful hybrid of metalcore and groove metal will knock you off your feet. Formed in 2007 in Ephrata, PA, this five-piece band has been selling out shows and wowing audiences all over the East Coast. Their debut EP, “Salt Of The Earth”, was released in 2008, and their first full-length entitled “I Am” was just released earlier this month. We will be bringing their hits “Elements” and “Hook, Line and Sinner” to the Rock Band Network, which should challenge even the most ardent players!

When you mentioned The Pink Spiders, I was hoping they were one of the three bands coming. I’d love for some of their songs to come.
